THE NEW WOLF THUNDER FRANCE TROPHY

The new KENNOL-sponsored Wolf Thunder France Trophy has kicked-off. The monotype serie only features the high-performance and multi-awarded Wolf GB08 Thunder prototypes, just like its big brother CISP (official Italian Prototypes Championship). And based on the 2 first races we had, it sounds and looks like a future success. Let’s have a look, before the Paul Ricard races next week-end!

ANOTHER KENNOL-SPONSORED CHAMPIONSHIP

KENNOL-supplied Campionato Italiano Sport Prototipi is an example for any championship. It saved the official Italian championship, while giving all drivers the opportunity to have a true drivers championship, since all prototypes are identical. It only features the Wolf GB08 Thunder, powered by an Aprilia RSV4 engine, lubricated with KENNOL GRAND PRIX 10W50 4T and KENNOL ULTIMA 75W140. And the whole thing performs pretty good! After 3 seasons, with 20+ prototypes on track, engine reliability and performance are absolutely perfect. This consistency is such, that France is opening its own Trophy too. With the same concept.

We are very happy to start this great partnership with KENNOL, which sounds totally logical since we only race Wolf Racing Cars prototypes. The 2 products together are unbeatable.

Lionel Champelovier — Wolf Racing France

With 12 races, dispatched amongst the 6 most famous tracks in France (Dijon-Prenois, Paul Ricard, Lédenon, Nogaro, Magny-Cours, Le Mans), the new Wolf Thunder France Trophy already shows potential. Supported by the Tourist Trophy Endurance, the new born has kicked-off his 1st season last month, with a thrilling 1st round.

As soon as several countries start doing the same, a European Championship can be organized too. And that’s how the concept grows bigger and bigger. While letting all drivers and teams race in a very competitive program. And earn up to 100.000€ cash-prize at the end of the season!

THE DISCOVER OF PERFORMANCE

But let’s get back to the Wolf Thunder France Trophy, for now. The kick-off of the season took place in Dijon, last month. And the competition was already fierce and intense. Regular KENNOL driver Jérémy Mérirès, most known for his performance in FFSA French Drift Championship with the Banet Team, was attending his 1st race in grip. And what a performance, thanks to the Wolf Racing France team!

The rookie has shown an incredible pace against other drivers. Including Steve Brooks, who put all his experience into the fight (6 24h Le Mans participations, 1 class podium). Both drivers overtook each other for the whole race 1, before the most experienced one exits the track in race 2. Letting Jérémy Mérirès winning both races.

No doubt that the 2 drivers are to enjoy being back on track next weekend, on the Paul Ricard F1 circuit (Le Castelet, France).
