EN ROUTE FOR THE KENNOL GP FRANCE HISTORIC
In 2025, the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique will be the only Formula 1 event in the country, once again. And based on what we discoverd during the launch event at Rétromobile in Paris, last weekend, the stake and the promises are even higher than last edition. Which already was a record-breaking one. Let’s have a look at the menu.
▌AN INCREDIBLE 2024 EDITION
The KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique takes place on the magnificent Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet, in Provence (sunny South of France). And for its 6th edition in 2024, it reunited more than 82.000 fans around the biggest (yet) reunion of Formula 1 cars on track. The crowd was both frozen in the intensity of the moment and shaken by the power of more than 40 roaring F1 engines, as they surged forward on the straight, crossing the starting line.
Organized by HVM Racing in partnership with the French Federation of Sports Auto, the rendez-vous turned into an absolute major one. The perfect cradle of the Castellet Formula 1 track brings to the organization an incredible glamourous atmosphere. And the quality of the event, on and off track, gives more than any fan could expect.
The KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique is now the only major national F1 event!

With Jean ALESI as its “godfather”, the KGPFH was already under the spotlights, when the former Ferrari driver announced the 2025 menu of the awaited event. And the former Formula 1 drivers around him couldn’t wait to embark in this amazing program he announced.

This sound was the sound of the Renault F1 R25, driven by Fernando ALONSO. The exact same that made him a F1 World Champion in 2005. And the exact same one that will be racing at the KENNOL Grand Prix de France Historique this year.
This legendary car will be driven by former Formula 1 driver Franck MONTAGNY. He will be one of the many F1 drivers on the track at Le Castellet: Alain PROST, Jacques VILLENEUVE, Mark WEBBER, David COULTHARD, Jean ALESI, etc. It is even rumoured that, for the first time in its history, the KGPFH could welcome active Formula 1 driver(s). Wait & see.
On the mechanical side of the program, no less than 70 Scuderia Ferrari F1 and Renault F1 cars are to be expected! The French motorist is indeed celebrating the 20th birthday of its 1st World Champion title in Formula 1. With the very same car on track. A car for the purists, a car for the passion, a car for the love of race cars.
I hate that they (the Formula 1 rules) got rid of it.
