The PSA-Stellantis<\/a> engines problem has been mediatized in many countries for a while. But it finally ignited late 2023, with the decision by PSA-Stellantis to recommend a brand new motor oil for their 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5R, produced until January 2023) engine. A few days after, literally, the 1.2 PureTech Gen1 (EB2) joined its brother. Why? To solve the major issue Peugeot, Citro\u00ebn, and other brands of the Group had for several months\/years: an important timing belt\/chain frailty. The new recommendation, a motor oil with a 5W-30 grade and PSA FPW9.55535\/03 specification, was barely on the market, than a 3rd decision was taken late Spring: Stellantis decided to broaden the field of application to most DV5s, but also to include the 2.2 BlueHDi (DW12RU). Too many engines were at critical risk then. <\/p>\n
